Taking writing seriously means taking reading seriously. Currently, I read a lot of audiobooks on my three hour round trip commute. Houston traffic, amirite? However, taking reading seriously means reading with intention.

The Ray Bradbury Challenge

The Ray Bradbury Challenge is where you read one short story, one poem, and one essay a day. Bradbury said before bed, but I read it when I get the chance throughout the day.

Hunting the Classics

Looking back at the masters of old has been a part of my recent literary education. This year I’ve knocked down some heavy hitters like The Grapes of Wrath and Dracula . I’ve got a lot more on my backlog, Crime and Punishment, Moby Dick, and The Count of Monte Cristo, to name a few.
